Born and raised in Baltimore, Marilyn Bentley has spent her career ensuring that the public has access to their court records, courtroom documents, and other critical legal documentation and that court services are efficient and effective.
She graduated from Forest Park High School in Northwest Baltimore and Lake Forest College in Illinois.
Since 1991, Marilyn has worked in courts across the state of Maryland. In 1997, she started in the Baltimore City Courts, serving as the Associate Administrator of the Civil Division. She later became the Chief Deputy Clerk of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. She currently serves as the Clerk, having been appointed to that position in December of 2016.
She is married and has children.
